The Welfare Association for Children Tikapur (WACT) is a pioneering indigenous non-governmental organization (NGO) deeply rooted in the Kailali district of Far Western Nepal. Since its inception in 1992, WACT has been unwavering in its commitment to addressing the needs of marginalized and disadvantaged communities, particularly those in rural and underserved areas. Our mission is to foster sustainable development and empower individuals to become self-reliant, enabling them to take charge of their lives and contribute positively to their communities.

Over the years, WACT has evolved into a dynamic organization that works across multiple sectors to address a wide range of social challenges. Our initiatives span from child and adolescent well-being to community health, education, and livelihood support. We are particularly focused on empowering women, people with disabilities, and those living with HIV/AIDS, helping them to overcome barriers and improve their quality of life.
